In the footsteps of lace-makers

Lace 7) PINNALA
Lace for sale by the metre

Back in the old days, the Pinnala house stood on the best location in town as regards business, namely, near the Pori toll gate. The house was owned by merchant families.

In the stone building built in 1795 there was a shop in which also less valuable goods, such as lace, were sold. Lace for lace trimmed caps was sold by the unit and other lace by the metre. Also, silks for lace trimmed caps and bobbin lace thread were on offer.
